IF YOU DIED RIGHT NOW, ARE YOU SURE YOU WOULD GO TO HEAVEN?
We are all sinners. The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
The Bible teaches that there is a price tag on all sin. Romans 6:23 says “for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
We are all sinners. Every person deserves the wages of our sin, which is spiritual death. Eternal damnation. Hell. Separation from God forever.
However, In His mighty love and mercy, God sent Jesus, His only Son, to come to earth, born of a virgin, fully God and fully man to save each of us from our sins. Jesus is the only man who ever lived a perfect and sinless life. In His death, on the cross, He alone paid the price so that we might have eternal life. Jesus is the ONLY way to eternal life.
Romans 5:8 tells us, “But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Jesus paid the penalty for sin when He died and shed His blood on the cross. We do not have to spend eternity apart from God.
Romans 10: 13 states, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” If you will call upon the Lord right now and ask Him to save you, He will do it. The whosoever is ANYONE.
Here is an example of a prayer for you to pray in order to have eternal life:
“Father God, I know that I am a sinner. I ask forgiveness of my sins, I confess my sins, and I repent of my sins. Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for me, on the third day rose from the grave and presently sit at God’s right hand. Come Lord Jesus, take control of my life and make me the type of person that You want me to be. I accept You as my Lord and Savior and pray this in Your name, Jesus. Amen”
As a next step, we encourage you to attend a Bible-believing church and make a public profession of faith. Now that you are saved, the first thing Jesus wants you to do for Him is to let others know that you have accepted Him.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 10:32 “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.”
